Legal  binding wedding Ceremonies in Florida:

All couples that wish to legally marry in Florida have to obtain a Florida Marriage license. The License is valid for 60 days and can be used in all of Florida, regardless where in Florida the license was issued.

• Bride and Groom have to be 18 years or apply and if 16 or 17 with parental or guardian consent
• Bride and Groom have to apply in Person at the Clerk of Court or they can apply for a marriage license by mail with me. I work directly with the issuing Clerk of Court and can file for your license before you arrive in Florida.
• If one or both applicants are Florida residents a three-day waiting period applies if the bridal couple did not complete a premarital course. Non-Florida residents have no waiting period.
• Bride and Groom are required to provide acceptable government identification (driver’s license, passport or military ID) if born in the US, or a copy of the Bride’s and Groom’s foreign passport if foreign born.
• Bride and Groom must provide a Social Security Number if they reside in the US.
• If either party has previously been married, they must provide the exact date the marriage ended.

International couples may have to provide an Apostille to legally file their marriage in their home country. I have married couples from around the world and will assist you with the filing process. Please contact your local authority/registry office if your country requests an Apostille for filing the marriage at home.
